She is the co-founder of award-winning sustainable womenswear brand, Cienne, recognized by the International Woolmark Prize and the CFDA for outstanding design and the pioneering of ethical and environmental practices in the luxury market.

Originally from California, Nicole studied Visual Communications from 2001-2003 at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, and from 2003-2005, she studied Concept & Textiles at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. In 2013, she took a sabbatical through Africa in hopes of finding a meaningful way to merge business and design. In 2014, she founded Cienne, an award-winning womenswear brand that pioneered ethical and environmental practices. The brand was a semi-finalist in the 2018-2019 International Woolmark Prize and the recipient of the runner-up award in the 2018 CFDA + Lexus Fashion* Initiative. Since 2019, Nicole has been a brand strategy and creative consultant for clients such as Away, Argent, Mara Hoffman, Reformation, Solid & Striped, Victoria’s Secret & Co, and more.
